Event Production and Promotion
A popular destination for parents and children, the Michigan Science Center struggled to attract millennial audiences to its monthly evening events.
I helped their team build a calendar of timely, fun, and edgy event themes to boost ticket sales and social media mentions during the events. I conceptualized, planned, budgeted, promoted, and produced museum happy hour events, including Star Wars night, blacklight dodgeball, anti-Valentine's day, and life-size game night. This new approach to themed happy hours led to record ticket sales, attracted local influencers, and created a line out the door.
